Mogra Star is always seeking volunteers who are passionate about helping and working with children. If you would like to visit or volunteer at Mogra Star’s campus in Nairobi, please contact us and we will be happy to provide you with additional information.

Mogra Star has historically been supported by two donors: The Christian Foundation for Children and Ageing in Kenya and Faith works Ministries in the U.S.A. Most donations come in the form of sponsorships, which total U.S. $275 annually until graduation, and which cover all costs related to a child of your choosing. Due to inhumane conditions in Mathare, Mogra Star has provided shelter and education to children regardless of sponsorship status. Currently, the organization is providing an education to nearly 700 children who are yet to find sponsors. Due to the immense strain this has placed on the organization’s resources, any contribution, made to Mogra Star, however small, would be greatly appreciated!

All contributions made to Mogra Star are tax deductible and channeled through Faithworks Ministries, a Greensboro, North Carolina-based 501–(c)3 registered entity. If you wish to make a donation to Mogra Star or if you prefer to be contacted for child sponsorship, please click here.

If you decide to make a contribution, please keep the following in mind:

o $275 per year will cover all costs for one child including food, shelter, education, and clothing. You are under no obligation to renew your sponsorship after one year although continued sponsorship until graduation would be greatly appreciated.

o $50-100 can be utilized towards an ‘Urgent Needs Fund’ to provide food and shelter to unsponsored children and to provide assistance for families facing eviction or in need of emergency medical care.

o $50 will enable Mogra Star to purchase one 50lb sack of beans and 20lb of powdered milk which could provide 200 children with a basic protein-rich meal.

o $1000-2000 could allow a high school graduate to attend university for one to two years.

In addition to the above, any contributions towards Mogra Star’s new school and orphanage would allow the organization to provide hundreds of children with a safer and more stable environment. There is no minimum amount and even a contribution as low as $5 would be of immense help.
